According to what the spokeswoman published on her Telegram channel, the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan will give continuity to what was discussed by the five nations in the six previous meetings, which were at the level of heads of State. Zakharova noted that this meeting will launch a new regular ministerial dialogue within the mandate that was agreed at the 6th Caspian summit, which was held in Ashgabat in June 2022.
The diplomat also noted that during this meeting its participants plan to consider “a wide range of issues of mutual interest with a focus on priorities for the development of cooperation in the Caspian region.”
In the context of that event, the Russian Foreign Minister will hold a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts, Zakharova added.
