According to the Communication Secretariat of the Presidency, President Daniel Noboa instructed Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld to meet with Abad to organize everything necessary for “such a high mission.”

On Tuesday morning, Abad offered statements to the press where she informed her decision to accept the mission entrusted by Noboa, as Ambassador of Peace in Tel Aviv.

The Ecuadorian Vice President expressed that she will comply with the constitutionality of the assignment, so that she will not be accused of not fulfilling her function. However, she cleared that, if the United States has not been able to stop the conflict between Israel and Palestine, it is a difficult task, but she accepts it.
