Plans of sabotage against Venezuela’s electric system denounced

Caracas, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced sabotage plans against the national electric system, in connection with the celebration of the consultative referendum on December 3 in defense of the Essequibo.

At the end of a meeting with the sectoral vice-presidents, the vice-president declared through Venezolana de Televisión that two days ago in Puerto Ordaz, state of Bolívar, center-south of the country, the bolts of one of the transmission towers were removed, which caused it to fall.

He detailed that thanks to the workers of the Corporación Eléctrica Nacional, the service was recovered in a peremptory manner and pointed out that by this week the tower will be up and running.

Rodriguez stated that “this is a message to those who are thinking, national or international factors, of sabotaging the electric service”.

We are on top of the essential services so that events such as these “do not occur”, the population can be calm and on December 3, everyone will go to vote in the popular consultation next Sunday.

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade also informed that for these elections, the 30th in 24 years of the Bolivarian Revolution, the Republic Plan will be activated with the deployment of more than 356 thousand military and police officers throughout the country.

She stated that together with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the Police and security agencies, they reviewed the coordination of the Plan with the purpose of guaranteeing that all voting centers “are ready” for the voting on December 3.

The Executive Vice President assured that nothing will prevent Venezuelans from going out to exercise their right to vote.

She indicated that these days of campaigning served for Venezuela to “immerse itself in a deep discussion and knowledge, and extensive training” on how the country was born with this territory of almost 160 thousand square kilometers and in dispute with Guyana more than a century ago.

The December 3 elections will have 15,839 voting centers and 28,000 polling stations, for which 20,694,124 Venezuelans are summoned.
