At a press conference, on the way to the consultative referendum on December 3, Garvett underscored that the issue of the Essequibo managed to unite all the people in “defense of that sacred territory that historically belongs to us.”
Garvett stated that this was a “too different, atypical and beautiful” campaign praising the diversity found around the globe, and how Venezuelans united over differences to defend this territorial cause.
On Monday, Executive Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez informed about the activation of Republic Plan with the deployment of over 356,000 military and police officers nationwide.
She stated that, along with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the Police and security agencies reviewed the coordination of the Plan with the aim of guaranteeing that all polling stations “will be ready” for the December 3 voting.
