At the Cuban embassy in Iran, Ambassador Alberto Gonzalez Casas welcomed representatives of various groups of solidarity with Cuba, while thanking the works of local artists who extolled a figure of Commander Fidel.

During the day, archive images were shown revealing the diplomatic relations between the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and high-ranking Iranian officials as a sign of fraternal relations between the two States.

During the ceremony, a minute of silence was held for the civilian victims and journalists killed by Israel in the onslaught of intensified attacks against the Gaza Strip since October 7.

Poet and Director of the Cuban Cultural Center in Iran, Hadi Khansarii, praised Fidel’s revolutionary work and recalled how he was able to renounce the cradle of luxury in which he was born to devote himself to fight for the interests of the poorest and neediest in his country and in every corner of the world, with positions in favor of peoples such as Palestine.
