This Monday’s strike is to be joined by school, company and administrative sector workers nationwide, Radio Praga International reported.
For the time being, the possible number of participants is unknown, although the KOVO union, with nearly one million members, announced that it will join the strike and so will the staff of 70% of the schools.
Workers who do not participate full time in the work stoppage will do so partially, suspending their work for one or two hours, union sources said.
Despite the popular rejection of the government’s social cuts, Prime Minister Petr Fiala considered that there were not enough reasons to go on strike.
