On the seventh anniversary of his physical disappearance, on November 25, diplomats, solidarity organizations and Cuban residents gathered at the theater of the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores Distrital, to pay tribute to the Commander in Chief.
The Cuban ambassador to Brazil, Adolfo Curbelo, recalled that the figure of Fidel Castro is closely linked to the history of Brazil, the country he visited the most.
He commented that it would be a great initiative to achieve a book on the revolutionary leader’s imprint with this nation and invited those present to watch a documentary to “remember that death is not true when the work of life has been well fulfilled”, paraphrasing Cuba’s National Hero José Martí.
Curbelo insisted that one of Fidel Castro’s main teachings was his faith in victory, the confidence he inspirred in his people and optimism as a fundamental element to seek strength whenever necessary.
