Under the slogan ‘Tourism as a tool for Governance, Peace and Inclusion’, the event was inaugurated at the Holiday Inn Hotel, with the aim of discussing the progress of the so-called ‘leisure industry’ in the country, its challenges and opportunities.
This meeting of the MSMEs of the National Tourism Industry has as guests Cuba and the Colombian department of Huila, where representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, Colombian travel agencies that issue tourist offers to the Caribbean island, among others, are present.
Within the agenda scheduled for the two-day celebration of this VI Congress, the following topics stand out: Cuba, a potential destination for the Colombian traveler; Strategies and experience in health tourism; Health tourism: a bet on territory; National Strategy: Peace Destinations.
Participants will also discuss other topics of interest such as Creating tourism products for Peace: the case of the ‘Juan Frío ovens’; Heritage Villages: a territorial commitment; Towards a structural reform of the Tourism Law; International case: History of the Cuban National Hotel and developments in the island’s hotel industry, among others.
