The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) along with the National Civil Police (PNC) incinerated close to 300 kg of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines seized from national smugglers.
The FGR stated that the narcotics are linked to 21 prosecuted cases and their value exceeds USD$7 million.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces managed to seize a contraband of cigarettes worth USD$52,200, according to the Minister of Defense Rene Francis Merino, who also explained that the seizure was made at kilometer 133 of the Panamerican highway, in San Miguel, where military personnel intercepted the van where the product was being transported.
