In a meeting with the Lebanese interim prime minister, Najib Mikati, the Iranian Foreign Minister described the four-day truce reached in Gaza as positive.
At the same time, he stressed that “if there is no sustainable ceasefire, things will get worse and the region will not return to what it was before the war.”
For his part, Mikati highlighted the need to intensify efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire and stop Israeli aggression against Gaza, and then move on to seek a sustainable peaceful solution.
He also called on influential countries to pressure Israel to stop its attack on southern Lebanon and stop attacking civilians and journalists in particular.
Abdullahian arrived in Beirut this afternoon on his second visit to the Levantine nation after the start of the Palestinian resistance’s Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7. In his first words from the Rafik Hariri airport, the Iranian minister offered his condolences for the martyrs in Gaza and Lebanon, especially to colleagues from the pan-Arab channel Al Mayadeen, Farah Omar, Rabih Al-Maamari and collaborator Hussein Aquil .
By the way, the head of Iranian diplomacy stressed that time has shown that “he is not in favor of the Zionist entity and the United States,” after more than six weeks of resistance in Gaza.
In this sense, he reaffirmed the willingness of the combatants to continue the fight until the rights of the Palestinian people are achieved.
