Book on attacks against Fidel Castro presented in Cuba

Havana, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) The Latin American publishing house Ocean Sur presented two volumes linked to the history and figure of Fidel Castro (1926-2016), on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the physical departure of the historic leader of the Revolution.

The books “634 Ways to Kill Fidel” and “The Kennedy Assassination and the Plot against Cuba”, both authored by Fabian Escalante Font, were presented at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, the leading institution in the Caribbean nation for research and promotion of his ideas and legacy.

There are 634 criminal attacks organized against Fidel Castro by the CIA, the Mafia and different intelligence services of the United States from 1958 to the year 2000, reveals the research carried out by former Major General Escalante Font, founder of Cuba’s intelligence services.

The volume offers a detailed chronology of the attacks organized against the Cuban leader from 1958 to 2000, all of them dismantled by the State Security agencies at different stages of their execution, based on the exhaustive review of declassified documents in Cuba and the United States, as well as testimonies.

The Kennedy Assassination and the Plot against Cuba explains the ins and outs of the conspiracy to assassinate U.S. President John F. Kennedy, 60 years after the assassination, and denounces the material and intellectual assassins who carried out the action.

During the presentation, Raúl Roa Kourí, former Cuban diplomat and writer, pointed out that both books have points in common: the first one offers details of the assassination plans organized against Fidel Castro and the second one delves into the details of the ZR/Rifle program, organized by the CIA with the mission of assassinating foreign leaders hostile to U.S. policies -among them Fidel Castro- and which later returned, like a boomerang, against Kennedy.

The presentations are part of the broad program of activities organized by the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, on its second anniversary of creation and to remember the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, seven years after his physical departure.
