The statement highlights that the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs and the medium tanker Pechenga of the Pacific Fleet, are participating in the joint exercise with ships of the Navy of the Republic of the India.
The command of the Pacific Fleet explained previously that the objective of the exercises is to comprehensively develop and strengthen cooperation in the naval field between Russia and India, jointly counteract global threats and ensure the safety of navigation in the Asia-Pacific region.
The destroyer INS Ranvijay, the corvette INS Kiltan, and aircraft and helicopters of the Indian Navy are participating in the maneuvers. Troops from both countries are also conducting joint maneuvers and air defense and communications exercises.
