Journalists and workers at the daily meeting to coordinate activities at the agency’s headquarters in the Cuban capital mourned the death of Farah Omar (26 years old) and Rabih Al-Maamari (43 years old) and expressed their support for the Arab media.
Likewise, they advocated for respect for the lives of all reporters, who, since the beginning of the conflict, have suffered 48 casualties due to Israeli attacks.
Prensa Latina has expressed on several occasions its condemnation of the bombings by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people and condolences for the violent death of several journalists in the Gaza Strip.
In an event held at the agency’s headquarters, the reporter specializing in international politics Moisés Saab stressed that “today we are witnessing the apotheosis of this policy of ethnic cleansing and extermination of an entire human community, the Palestinians, at the hands of Israel, a state governed by racial and confessional supremacist concepts.”
At least 13,300 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza at the hands of Israeli occupation forces since the escalation that began on October 7, including 5,500 children.
