An organization of this kind has been dismantled in Costa Rica for the first time, authorities explained after stating that as many as 1,100 fentanyl tablets were seized.

Security Minister Mario Zamora, Deputy Health Minister Mario Urcuyo and Attorney General Carlos Diaz provided some details of the operation in a joint press conference, including the raid sites in Tibas and San Sebastian; in San Jose and La Guacima de Alajuela, in the central province of the last aforementioned.
