The Al Ahram website reported that Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar was present at the Rafah border crossing to receive the newborns.

The digital newspaper posted footage showing the babies in temperature-controlled incubators while they were moved in ambulances to Egyptian medical centers.

Doctors warned that the newborns were in “extremely critical condition.”

Mohamed Zaqout, director of Gaza’s hospitals, told reporters that the babies were suffering from dehydration and hypothermia, and some were septic.
