According to information by promoter, producer, and art critic Mayda Bustamante, and provided to Prensa Latina by the Cultural Office at the Cuban Embassy in Spain, Liuba María’s performance will take place at Madrid’s Casa de America.
The concert “Para volverte a ver” at the Gabriela Mistral Auditorium at Casa de America will repeat the sweetness, passion, and dedication of one of the most recognized Cuban singers over the last three decades, who will be accompanied by guitarist and tres player Julian Olivares. With the attraction of launching her latest album, the volume contains songs written during the Covid-19 lockdown and other songs. An audiovisual of the same name will be screened during the launch.
Colombian singer-songwriters Marta Gómez and Natalia Vega, from Madrid, will sing as guest artists at Liuba María Hevia’s concert.
A member of the Cuba’s New Song Movement founded by Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanés, Liuba María has recorded more than 20 albums, including anthologies of great musical value and genres as diverse as habaneras, guajiras, tangos, and traditional children’s songs.
