Sri Lanka’s Eye Rupavahini channel also broadcast the Cantata of Solidarity with the Palestinian People held on Friday at the José Martí Memorial in Havana, where renowned Cuban artists sang “For a Free Palestine” and peace and justice for the people of Gaza.
The Cuban president, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and Palestinian Ambassador to Cuba Akram Samhan presided over the cultural gala.
The Palestinian youths told their lives marked by the horror of genocide practically from birth, and demanded an end to the massacre and Israel’s occupation, the refugees’ return, and a better life for Palestinian children.
They also presented the presidency with the keffiyeh, which symbolizes their people’s resistance.
Since the new cycle of violence in the territories occupied by the Israeli government began on October 7, more than 12,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed by Israel’s bombs and attacks.
