The news agency stated that Russian humanitarian cargo contains mattresses, pillows, food, personal hygiene products, and baby food.
The text added that the Ministry’s Il-76 aircraft departed from Grozny’s airport, in Russia, for Egypt’s Arish terminal. The cargo will be handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent so it can be sent to the Gaza Strip.
Since October 9, Israel has kept the Palestinian enclave deprived of basic supplies, forcing hundreds of thousands of civilians to move to the territory’s southern region, where international humanitarian aid has been trickling in through the Rafah crossing, on Egypt’s border, over the last few days.
