The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs denounced in a statement that Israel’s bombing is “an extension of the crimes being committed by the occupiers and settlers against our people.”

We warn about the use of fighter jets and drones to kill Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, and consider that those actions are a dangerous escalation, the Ministry warned.

It accused Israel of “copying the method of destruction and brutal bombing against our people in the Gaza Strip to use it in the West Bank with the purpose of intimidating citizens.”

Israel’s aim is to plunge the West Bank into a spiral of violence and chaos that will be difficult to control, the Ministry pointed out.

The Israeli Army confirmed the attack and noted the target was an alleged militia cell that was preparing an imminent attack on its territory.
