Almost half (48 percent) of Uruguayans have a negative image of the president, and this percentage increased seven points between August and November.
This is the result of a survey by the Usina de Percepción Ciudadana (UPC), carried out between November 10 and 14.
Thirty-six percent said they have a positive image of the ruler, 15 percent answered that it is neither positive nor negative, and one did not know or did not answer.
The study indicates that the perception is more negative among people of low and middle socioeconomic level.
UPC also consulted on the president’s administration, which had an unfavorable opinion of 44 percent against 36 percent who gave him approval.
The government’s performance achieved higher disapproval than Lacalle Pou’s, with 47 percent unfavorable opinion and 33 percent approval.
