At the event called “Cubans with Rights,” participants paid attention to the words by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez at the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC).
Pérez spoke from Geneva, which was added to a similar election in the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
He indicated that the HRC made the periodic review of the situation of human rights in Cuba, analysis that participants expressed their recognition to the constant improvement of human rights in Cuba and called for the end of the U.S. blockade against Cuba and the withdrawal of Cuba from the unilateral States Sponsor of Terrorism (SST) list.
In addition, he informed that participants praised the case of the Family Code, approved by a referendum and subject of a previous debate in which the criteria of the population were gathered.
He added there were multiple acknowledgements to Cuba’s medical solidarity that has reached 165 countries in 60 years.
