The Cuban diplomat told Prensa Latina that during meeting, both parties analyzed the main routes of cooperation and the activities to be developed by 2024, during the 50th anniversary of the relations between the twin cities of Santiago de Cuba and St. Petersburg.

Issues such as the artistic exchange in stages and events in Russia and Cuba, the preservation and restoration of the two countries’ heritage, the dissemination of Cuban music in several circuits in St. Petersburg and other Russian states were discussed as well.

The possibility of holding a forum to promote Cuban art, to be held in St. Petersburg in the summer of 2024 was debated.

Deputy Minister Leon is participating in the 9th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, where current issues such as the peoples’ right to culture as a public asset are being talked.
