Speaking to Prensa Latina regarding the opening of the court in the European Parliament, the communist leader and member of the Left Group stated that the event was a matter of justice and a necessity.
It will be an opportunity to reaffirm the peoples’ support for Cuba and its Revolution, which have faced for more than six decades this criminal economic, commercial, and financial blockade by Washington, just because they have not bowed to its imperial dictates, he stressed.
The MEP assured that having the court in the European Parliament is essential. Reactionary and ultra-right views have been imposed on Latin America in this Parliament, but we will try and condemn the US blockade here,” he said.
Political, social, and legal organizations from Europe and the United States promote the international court, which was launched at the People’s Summit in Brussels in July.
