World-renowned figures in para-athletics Omara Durand and Robiel Yankiel Sol will be the flag-bearers of the Cuban delegation, which consists of 53 athletes who will compete at the Santiago 2023 Games from November 17-27, although some competitions started on Thursday.
Cuba will participate with ten more athletes than in Lima 2019 when it won 13 titles, ten silver medals, and 16 bronze medals, results that might be surpassed Santiago 2023.
