In statements to Prensa Latina, “Raíces Cubanas” Cultural Association Vice President Juan Márquez stressed the importance of this meeting to exchange opinions and strengthen ties with fellow mates living in Cuba or other nations.
I think the Conference will help people abroad who are always trying to be informed. Due to all campaigns, it is sometimes hard to be sure of everything that comes, he said.
About the issues to be addressed at the Conference, he said they go hand in hand with the topics of the meeting, including investing in the country, migration, legal procedures, and others related to culture and traditions.
About 400 people will attend the Conference on Nation and Emigration on November 18-19.
It will strengthen Cuba’s ties with residents abroad defending sovereignty and increasing their participation in the cultural and socio-economic development processes in Cuba.
