An analysis of the challenges posed by global events and new avenues to maintain the momentum generated by the common aspiration for a more inclusive, representative and progressive world order is also expected is also scheduled to be done at the event that will be held virtually, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
According to the official statement, the meeting will take place online under the theme “Together for the growth of all, with the trust of all”, and will have 10 ministerial sessions defined in the sectors of foreign relations, education, finance, environment, energy, health and commerce.
The opening and closing of the Summit will take place at the level of heads of State and Government.
According to the Foreign Ministry, India organized the inaugural Voice of the Global South Summit on January 12th and 13th this year, which had the participation of 125 countries in a virtual format to share their perspectives and priorities on a common platform.
During the G20 presidency, India has worked to ensure that the concerns of the Global South receive due attention and that their priorities are taken into account in the search for solutions to the most pressing global challenges.
