“With tribute to the history of Ghana we begin second day of activities in this sister nation: all honors on behalf of #Cuba for Kwame Nkrumah, first Ghanaian president. We laid white flowers at the Memorial Park dedicated to preserving his memory,” Valdés Mesa revealed on his account on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
Later he met with the president of the Ghanaian Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, and a group of parliamentarians, a meeting described as moving and touching by the Cuban leader due to the shared experiences that unite that African country with Cuba.
Bagbin expressed that Cuba is one of the most resilient countries in the world and has the respect, besides being an inspiration for the help provided with the sending of doctors, the fight against malaria and other diseases.
Both countries must be together to establish a new structure of government, in a new order of words that leaves no one behind, he emphasized.
