At the opening of the forum, the role of AI was demystified, assuring that it will not replace the work of journalists, but instead, it will be a sort of extra hand for the work of the media, until reaching a future “in which artificial intelligence and humans work together”. Meanwhile, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, stressed that media professionals are responsible for providing a balanced mix of news, information, education, and entertainment at local, national, and international levels, as well as -he added- promoting important values such as honesty, integrity, peace, and non-violence. This requires investing in the education of future generations, he said, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination to detect fake news.

The National Exhibition Center in the Emirati capital will host the world’s largest media event until next Thursday, with the participation of top industry leaders, specialists, and influencers, as well as academics, young people, and university students.
