The organization confirmed to Prensa Latina its participation in the court based in the European Parliament and expressed its expectations regarding a space to denounce the illegality of the blockade against Cuba.

“The objective is both symbolic and geared towards media. This court will bring together international jurists, personalities, and organizations of solidarity with Cuba from Europe, but also from the United States and other continents,” it stressed.

According to the association, the forum will demonstrate that the blockade violates the law and rules of international trade and contravenes the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and free trade rules.

“The Court must prove the illegality of the blockade of Washington, which exercises it to the detriment of natural and legal persons and the sovereignty of third States, particularly European ones,” Cuba Linda said.

It also highlighted the potential of the international court in countering the media war against Cuba, which the United States uses to justify the blockade.

The court will denounce the lies spread to justify the blockade and will disclose the consequences of the imperialist sanctions against the people, the organization stated.

The French association reiterated its condemnation of the blockade and defended the absolute right of Cubans to choose their future.
