The meeting has the support of the Canelones City Council, 18 years after the forum took place in the Uruguayan capital, said Julio Brum, one of the organizers.
Brum told the newspaper La Diaria that more than 200 national artists and others from eight Latin American and Caribbean countries will participate in the event, and will perform free of charge in 20 municipalities of the department for thousands of children, he said.
Brum pointed out the expectation that this movement generates new artistic collectives of children’s music that will strengthen the links between the Mocilyc member countries.
