In a press release, the leftist political party condemned Washington’s statements about the alleged commitment of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to accept a humanitarian ceasefire.
“This is nothing but a big lie and a maneuver by the US administration to prolong the aggression and provide full cover to continue the brutal genocide” against our people, it stressed.
Under pressure from the international community, the White House announced that Israel agreed to start humanitarian pauses. That country reiterated that they would last only about four hours a day and reaffirmed its rejection of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza despite world demands.
Both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, among other members of the war cabinet, strongly warned that they would not stop the hostilities against this punished enclave, where more than 10,800 were reported killed; and 25,000 were wounded.
We call on the Arab peoples and the world to take a firm stand against the occupation and the countries that support it, including the United States,” the group stated.
