Belarus and Cuba deal with unjust sanctions together

Minsk, Nov 10 (Prensa Latina) Belarus and Cuba are jointly dealing with the imposition of sanctions, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko stated during official talks with his Cuban counterpart, Manuel Marrero, on Friday.

“We are long-standing and time-tested partners. We maintain friendly and candid relations. We have invariably supported each other on international platforms for many years, and we have similar views on global geopolitical processes,” the Belarusian head of Government said during the meeting.

Marrero and Golovchenko headed the official talks between the two delegations in Minsk on Friday to review the state of bilateral relations at the political, economic, commercial, and parliamentary levels.

The Belarusian Prime Minister recalled that Minsk is committed to the rapid establishment of a new and just world order. It has never changed and will never change its stance on the unacceptability of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

He emphasized that Belarus appreciates Cuba’s support on international platforms. “Amid illegitimate, chaotic sanctions that are indiscriminately enforced by Western countries, the support by true friends is big.”

Marrero, in turn, affirmed that Belarus and Cuba are good allies on international platforms, and the main goal is to bring trade and economic interaction to the political cooperation level.
