Prensa Latina traveled through its valleys and elevations of about 800 meters above sea level, where over the years the ecosystem has been endowed with waterfalls, cliffs, vegetation and fauna with a great endemic environment.
With a year-round micro climate that favors forests and especially the cultivation of coffee and cocoa, as well as nurseries of timber trees, ornamental plants and other species in fertile areas and areas for reforestation.
The Park is part of the Sierra de Guamuhaya, known as Escambray, at about 30 kilometers from Trinidad, Cultural Patrimony of Humanity, third patrimonial village, which, next January, it will be 510 years of being founded by the Spaniards.
Its development as a center for recreation and tourism has been encouraged since the 70s of the twentieth century. Its central facility is El Kurhotel Escambray which offers rehabilitation and revitalization, in conditions of accommodation, food and recreation. National and international tourism can enjoy various programs, including hiking for lovers of nature and bird watching, where more than a hundred species are registered.
Other exclusive features are its waterfalls, the most important is El Caburní, of about 64 meters high, with waters sliding down a varied slope and feeding pools turned into natural pools.
