According to local media reports, Al-Mekdad and Ammar expressed this position during their meeting in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, within the framework of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the extraordinary Arab summit to be held there, which will deal with the current situation in the occupied Arab territories.
The two ministers reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and stressed the importance of coordinating and concretizing a unified Arab position to face Israel’s barbarity.
They called for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression and allowed the urgent entry of humanitarian aid to the defenseless Palestinians.
The Arab summit expects to adopt a position to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, where Israeli bombardments killed nearly 11,000 Palestinians and injured 24,000 others.
