“We are very satisfied, I consider that they have given us a warm welcome, and the participation in the 6th China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) in Shanghai in particular was extensive, with around 18 Cuban companies being represented,” he commented.

The Cuban head of Government highlighting the meeting with President Xi Jinping and the affection with which he referred to both countries as “good friends, good companions and good brothers.”

According to Marrero, Xi Jinping emphasized China’s invariable support for Cuba’s sovereignty and against the United States’ blockade, and expressed his political will to extend bilateral cooperation.

Marrero referred to the potential of closer multi-sector collaboration that elevates economic and commercial relations to the same level of the excellent political ties.

The agreements signed between Cuba and China cover several sectors of bilateral cooperation such as transportation, biotechnology, agri-food and digital television.
