The National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD) agents detected the MDMA (synthetic route 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methamphetamine) pills stashed in fish food, by means of an analysis and monitoring system, the newspaper Ultima Hora added.
“There were certain suspicious elements inside the package and the fact was reported to the Prosecutor Elva Caceres, after which the package was opened and the presence of ecstasy was detected,” Francisco Ayala explained, director of communication of the institution in charge of the fight against this scourge.
About 130,000 dollars is the monetary value of the 13,000 pills of Swiss origin taken out of circulation in the international drug market, Ayala informed.
