The new economic actor, based in the municipality of Morón, north of Ciego de Avila, has a staff of 32 workers, more than 53 percent of whom are women, mostly young.
The project’s owner, Yunet Pérez, stated that they are directly linked to the manufacturing and marketing of the 38 products, including soaps, creams, balms, ointments and body oils, intended for the health and beauty of people of all ages.
Founded two years ago, the group stands out for contributing to meeting the needs of products for personal and home hygiene, not only in the territory but in seven other Cuban provinces, such as Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara, Havana, Pinar del Río, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba.
The executive explained that they manufacture soaps with medicinal properties, facial masks, nutritional and sulfur creams, Vaseline, lip balms, natural and essential oils, aromatic candles, soap shavings, flavorings, hydrochloric acid and chlorine bleach.
Marketed under the Delavida brand, the items are intended for sale to the population through the Artex corporation stores, throughout the country, and on Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo to facilitate access to national and foreign clients in Jardines del Rey.
He pointed out that their products are handmade from vegetable and coconut oils, animal fats, goat milk, infusions, dehydrated medicinal plants, such as aloe vera, chamomile, calendula, moringa, Jamaica flower, rosemary and others; fruits and their seeds, honey and its derivatives.
