Both candidates held a debate on September 20th, a month before the first date of the elections, focused on issues such as inflation, work, denialism and rights.
According to national television and the Página 12 newspaper, the encounter is not mandatory, unlike those held between presidential candidates.
On the other hand, presidential candidates Sergio Massa (UP) and Javier Milei (LLA) will hold a debate of their own on the 12th of this month at 9:00 p.m., local time, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
The issues to be addressed will include economy, human rights, democratic coexistence, security, production and work, foreign relations, education and healthcare.
The debate, in which the participants will have six minutes to address each topic, is scheduled for the 19th, a week before the runoff.
The National Electoral Chamber announced that it would not allow notes or posters to be used during the debate, thereby rejecting a request from Milei’s team.
For the entity, a candidate for the position must be able to explain his Government plans himself, without resorting to reading or displaying tables or graphs that may end up being controversial.
