López Obrador proposes war moratorium and peace agreement

Lopez-Obrador2
Mexico, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday proposed to the great powers, mainly the United States and China, a war moratorium within a great peace agreement.

His proposal came in response to a question on whether he would meet with the Chinese leaders in the framework of the Summit of the Pacific Rim Association in San Francisco, the United States, in the coming days.

He explained that there is still no agenda in his case for San Francisco, where he will be on November 16 and 17.

Lopez Obrador explained that he will arrive there on the evening of November 15 and will return on November 17th at noon.

Foreign Secretary Alicia Bárcena is in charge of everything that has to do with the meeting, he said.

But I feel that instead of going back to the Cold War, to tensions, and to allocate so much budget to war, to genocide, major powers should agree and allocate funds to support one billion human beings who survive on less than one dollar a day in the world.

That is what should be approved; that is to say, to declare a war moratorium, a great peace agreement. Another thing would be merely diplomatic, such as having friendship with all peoples, not fighting, he said.
