A military convoy with more than 50 trucks, the second in less than a day, entered Syrian territory from Iraq and headed for Washington’s bases in Haskeh province.
They detailed that the vehicles carried heavy weapons, artillery, armored vehicles, and ammunition.
Another caravan also entered through the illegal Al-Walid crossing with the neighboring Kurdistan region of Iraq. It consisted of 40 trucks, fuel tanks, military equipment, closed boxes, and other vehicles whose loads were covered with black clothes.
US helicopters and armored vehicles belonging to Washington-supported Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia protected these reinforcements.
Washington has at least a dozen bases in Syria, mostly in the oil and gas fields in the northeastern region of al-Jazeera, mainly in al-Hasaka. It maintains one military base in the al-Tanef area bordering Iraq to prevent any land communication between these two countries.
