According to sources, unmanned aerial vehicles struck U.S. forces’ facilities located in the Tanef area in eastern Syria near the Jordanian and Iraqi borders.
Two other missile bombardments targeted the Tal Baidar base in eastern Hasakeh province and the Al-Omar base located in the oil field of the same name in the east of the northeastern province of Deir Ezzor.
The self-styled Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the actions and assured that the rockets and drones hit the targets set inside the base.
Missile and drone bombings against U.S. targets in Syria have increased markedly since the start of the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip on October 7, and at least 30 raids were reported.
Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder recently admitted that one contractor was killed and 21 other soldiers were wounded in these actions.
