More than 10,000 Palestinians dead after a month of Israeli attacks

Ramallah, Nov 6 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian Ministry of Health informed that 10,155 people have died and more than 27,000 have been injured since October 7 as a result of the Israeli bombardment against the Gaza Strip and the repression in the West Bank.

In its latest report on the current crisis, the entity specified that the aggression against the coastal enclave caused 10,010 deaths and more than 25,000 injuries since that date and in the West Bank, 155 personas were killed and more than 2,250 injured.

It pointed out that 70% of those who lost their lives were women, elderly, and minors.

It warned that 1.5 million Gazans were forced to leave their homes because of the conflict, which represents more than 70% of the total population of that territory.

Of that number, more than 690,000 were sheltered in 149 facilities administered by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, the ministry said.

Almost 122,000 in hospitals, churches and public buildings, 99,000 in other schools and 600,000 reside with families or friends, it added.

These data are similar to those announced Monday by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

The Palestinian Ministry detailed that some 35,000 housing units were destroyed in the last month and 165,000 suffered partial damage. Likewise, it indicated, more than 60 health facilities and 221 schools in the enclave were destroyed.

It also criticized the 130 attacks against health entities, which caused the death of 192 health workers and 36 members of the civil defense, in addition to 120 wounded.
