The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said in a document that the number of dead increased after five other employees of the agency were killed in the last 48 hours.
The humanitarian organization said that since October 7, when the attacks by the Hebrew military forces in the coastal enclave began, 24 members of its staff have also been wounded.
Referring to the crisis unleashed in Gaza, the institution recently exposed the serious situation experienced by the Palestinian population, who, forced to move from their places of origin, lack food, health care, and even water.
In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health also denounced that 16 of the 36 hospitals and 51 of the 72 medical facilities in Gaza have stopped providing services due to continuous bombing, damage, or lack of fuel to generate electricity.
After almost a month of Israeli bombardments against the coastal area, the death toll in that territory has risen to 9,770 and the number of wounded to more than 22,000, in addition to 1.5 million displaced persons, according to United Nations data.
