At the opening of an elderly home in the eastern province of Rize, the president denounced again what he described as war crimes against civilians.
“It is our necessary responsibility for history to proclaim everywhere the crimes that we have witnessed by those who commit these immoral and despicable massacres,” he assured.
Israel’s military onslaught on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, has so far killed nearly 9,500 people, mostly defenseless children, women and elderly people.
Others affected are the over 24,000 injured and some 1.5 million displaced people who are living under very difficult conditions due to the collapse of hospitals and the shortage of drinking water, food, medicines, electricity and fuel.
