The President of the Association of Cuban Residents in Panama Humberto Perez referred that the meeting’s realization shows the desire to strengthen relations with the patriotic emigration “in order to promote spaces to listen to each other and seek joint solutions for the sake of those residing in Cuba and abroad.”
Perez pointed out in a message that the meeting to begin on November 18 is the continuity of an array of meetings held by the Cuban authorities with overseas residents in order to establish a dialogue and seek solutions.
I have attended the last two meetings and I will participate in the next one, the coordinator of the Network of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean advanced, referring that many problems have been solved.
“The last one, the removal of extensions and extension of the passport validity; a fair and long-standing demand of Cubans abroad. Cuba met their requests amid an adverse economic situation that represented the loss of substantial income,” he stood out.
