Cuba reiterates the search for ways out of the US blockade

Mejor-Sin-Bloqueo-Rojo-Bandera-Largo
Havana, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) Cuba continues its transformative and revolutionary effort in the search for solutions to the genocidal economic blockade of the United States and ways to advance towards prosperity with social justice.

This was ratified by the Cuban government after a new victory at the United Nations, with 187 nations that voted in favor of the resolution “Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.”

The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, considered the results “a new victory for the Cuban people and its Revolution; the recognition and support of the international community for the heroism and resistance of Cuba, as well as the triumph of dignity and the bravery of our people.”

The president highlighted on social networks that the world once again said “no” to the genocidal blockade.

Díaz-Canel described the US representative’s speech as ridiculous and stated that he should be ashamed of his words, full of lies, slander, and hypocrisy facing the overwhelming majority’s condemnation of the “genocidal, unjust and criminal” policy of the United States.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, said that the results constitute a great victory for the Cuban people in their unceasing struggle and just claim to live.

The resolution presented by Cuba recognizes the blockade as the central element of the United States policy towards the island, for over six decades.

Its effects have not ceased one single day and they are recognized by 80 percent of the population, which has only known one blockaded country.
