The president stated that “the people of the world united in one voice demanded the end of the criminal economic, financial and commercial blockade of more than 60 years against the Cuban people.”
Morales, posted that “once again the world tells the United States that the blockade imposed against Cuba is illegal and criminal.”
“This is not the time of empires, but of the people,” he wrote. “We will not stop fighting against this genocidal blockade. We salute and congratulate the Cuban people and their revolutionary government for a new resounding victory. #MejorSinBloqueo #BloqueoGenocida (#BetterWithoutBlockade #GenocidalBlockade),” the former president concluded.
The international community voted 187 in favor and 2 against(the United States and Israel), with one abstention (Ukraine)in the UN General Assembly for the ending of the retaliation of more than 60 years.
