Xi expresses will to strengthen relations with DPRK

Pyongyang, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) The general secretary of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, expressed his wishes for the strengthening of friendship with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

According to state news agency KCNA, Xi sent a message in response to the one sent by the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of Kim Jong Un’s State Affairs on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

I have the will to push forward the advancement and development of China-DPRK relations (…) and make greater contributions to the welfare of the peoples of the two countries and the defense of peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region, the Chinese leader said.

He also wished the DPRK new and greater successes in the cause of socialist construction, under the leadership of the WPK and its General Secretary.
