In a statement, the organization stood out the resounding rejection by UNGA’s members of the United States’ inclusion of Cuba in the States Sponsoring Terrorism list.

It deemed so as an “unfounded accusation, which only seeks to add further damage to the economy, welfare and life of the heroic Cuban people.”

The organization added that for over six decades, Cuba has faced the most brutal and criminal blockade, and has resisted the increasingly smothering and pressing unilateral extraterritorial U.S. sanctions.

These sanctions flagrantly violate international law and constitute an unacceptable aggression against the human rights of all Cuban inhabitants, the movement pointed out.

No nation in the world has ever been under siege and prolonged economic warfare as Cuba has been, the Commitee remarked.

The vote showed the total U.S. isolation in its criminal policy of blockade, systematic aggression and violation of international law, the solidarity group stressed.

While Cuba saves lives, the White House government boosts terrorism and commits barbaric acts, the Guatemalan organization concluded.
