The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the United Nations and other global stockholders to “act swiftly to stop the genocide being perpetrated against Palestinian civilians.”
The absence of power to enforce the law and force the perpetrators to stop committing crimes immediately would turn international justice into mere appeals, the Ministry affirmed in a statement.
The Foreign Ministry renewed its criticism of the UN Security Council, which failed this month to approve a resolution to achieve a ceasefire and allow urgent aid into Gaza.
It also condemned in the “strongest terms all forms of incitement practiced by Israel” and its several instruments that seek to demonize the Palestinian people.
The administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justified its bombings and the imminent ground invasion after claiming self-defense, following the Islamic Resistance Movement attack that killed 1,400 people.
